According to a report, this could be chief selector Ajit Agarkar’s final selection meeting, with his contract set to expire later this month.
The report further claimed that Agarkar had told sources close to him that, after selecting the squad for the West Indies series, he was likely to send a thank-you note to BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia for giving him the opportunity to serve for three years.
Agarkar had reportedly sought an extension until next year’s ODI World Cup, but that does not appear to be on the cards.
