Colette McCaffrey is 14 months old and already has a new title. Her baby brother, Roman Augustus McCaffrey, was born on September 29 to Olivia Culpo and Christian McCaffrey, and Colette has met him with kisses. Her aunt, Sophia Culpo, shared the update at an Alice + Olivia breast cancer awareness benefit in Beverly Hills. Back in San Francisco, the 49ers running back is working through the season while Olivia recovers in Los Angeles. His take on sleep deprivation might surprise you, and he delivered it with a perfectly straight face at a press conference.

Sophia Culpo On Colette McCaffrey And Baby Roman

Sophia Culpo, 29, is the youngest of four, after Pete, 38, Aurora, 37 and Gus, 31. Big families run in her blood, so she knows what a new sibling does to a house. Colette, she says, took it in stride.

“She’s so sweet,” Sophia told E! News. “She loves him. She gives him little kisses and she’s just so special.”

For Sophia, the moment carries extra meaning.

“It’s so special to see her get a sibling,” Sophia noted, “because we’re such a big family. So, to see her get a brother is just so fun.”

Sophia also talked about her boyfriend, JP, whom she introduced on social media earlier this year. The family has already made up its mind.

“He’s got the stamp of approval,” Sophia confirmed. “He’s just so thoughtful and sweet.”

Christian McCaffrey On Sleep, Fatherhood And Olivia Culpo’s Recovery

Olivia, 34, and Christian, 30, married in 2024. They announced Roman’s arrival with a hospital photo of Olivia holding him. At a press conference, Christian was asked how rest was going.

“Sleep’s great!” Christian told reporters at an Oct. 16 press conference. “My family’s down in L.A. right now while my wife’s recovering. Don’t tell her this, I’m sleeping fantastic.”

He added that Olivia will head back to San Francisco with the kids soon. Until then, the quiet house is his.

Christian has been open about how much fatherhood means to him. He said so in February, months before Roman arrived.

“Watching your daughter grow has been the coolest thing in my life,” he told E! News in February. “Watching her develop a personality, start to notice the world, smile, move. It’s been awesome.”
